Our client holds close to $100b funds under management across a diverse range of investment vehicles and assets. Due to a sensitive resignation process internally, ADAPT were deemed an appropriate trusted partner to firstly work closely with the CEO and Chief People Officer (CPO) on framing the brief for a newly created position, and then executing a search process.
Initially, the role ADAPT played was to spend a fortnight working closely with the CEO and CPO on ensuring the alignment of a new brief – that it was relevant to what the group required and what was ‘in market’ to maintain a competitive advantage. Once clear on the deliverables and background of this potential executive, ADAPT conducted a direct and targeted search process which primarily actioned eight (8) specific profiles which were identified via our research and client investigation process.
ADAPT engaged and educated the select few individuals who were aligned and ‘match fit’ for this high-profile CIO appointment and managed the end to end process for our client. Since appointment, the successful individual is now twelve months into the role and has delivered on the two key short term requirements - which were to reorganise and structure their direct investment team to future proof the success of the group, and rebuild the external fund management relationships which required some close attention.
